Oh dear, is it really week 10 of the weekly (reading) update?? That’s absolutely crazy! I spent the whole day today in the garden, clearing out the outside lounge area, ready for me to start garden reading time very shortly. It’s the little things in life, huh 🙂 I’m so happy that the outside space is starting to come together, ready for the bright summer evenings. Judging how quickly the first 10 weeks have gone by, summer will be here before we know it.

This week has been pretty good! I’ve finished two books! First one was Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams; Queenie is a woman with many problems and who’s mental health takes an absolute dive after a number of incidents that happen in her life. The narrative follows her journey of finding herself again and I was here for it.

I also managed to finish the third book in Malorie Blackman’s Noughts & Crosses series – Checkmate. Really, really enjoyed this one too. I promise I will get the reviews up very soon!

This week I finished Ginny & Georgia and I cannot recommend it enough. I really enjoyed the series and finished it in three days. It has the small town vibe, includes high school issues and lots of family secrets and lies. Just perfect, thanks!

We also watched Trial by Fire with the boyfriend this evening. It’s based on the true story of Cameron Todd Willingham, who was executed in Texas for killing his three children in a house fire, despite him claiming his innocence throughout the trial and time on death row. A really good watch that makes you wonder if the justice system really did fail him.. or if he got what he deserved.

Got a good one for you this week – Pink Sweat$ At My Worst

And just like that we have reached the end of yet another weekly (reading) update! I’ll make it my mission to finish the February wrap up post and missing reviews for all the books I’ve read this year, so keep an eye out for those in the coming days 🙂

Stay safe
