Happy Thursday, friends! It’s time for another Thursday Quotables, this week we’ll be looking at quotes from Early Departures. Really cannot believe how quickly the weeks are flying by. Only last week I was still in Estonia and today it feels like I didn’t just spend nearly 7 weeks there!

Thursday Quotables is the place to highlight a great quote, line, or passage discovered during your reading each week. Whether it’s something funny, startling, gut-wrenching, or just really beautifully written. Thursday Quotables is where my favorite lines will be, and you’re invited to join in! Created by Lisa, over at Bookshelf Fantasies, and joined in by, well, me!

I’ve read very little this week. I started a cross-stitching project and it takes a lot more time than I expected. It also doesn’t help that I felt like I was falling into a bit of a reading slump again. But fear not, my beloved Justin A. Reynolds picked me up and came through with Early Departures! (review to follow shortly.)

So here are some of my favourite quotes:

It’s confusing – how your heart holds your love and your hurt in the same chamber.

Isn’t this beautiful, and so very true. We may forgive, but we never forget..

There comes a point when, no matter what they’d done to you, you couldn’t justify continuing to treat someone terribly. There comes a point when it’s no longer their problem, only yours.

Oh I love this so much. Let go of whatever was and live and let live.

And it’s wild, how places keep our memories whole; a building, or a park, or a patch of grass between two houses, each like a preserves jar.

I get this, quite often when looking at photos from when I was young. All those places I’ve been, all have a piece of my heart and bring back lots of fond memories.

You are the best mom this world has ever seen. You are what God intended when he created the first mom.

When I read this, all I could think about was my nana. She’s my monther, grandmother and best friend. I love her so, ans she’s the best mother the world has ever seen!

And one that meant the most to me:

You can die and still live on.

You can be alive but be consumed by death.

The difference between living and being alive is:

Everything.
