Time for another quotables post! I am obsessed with Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. I didn’t want the book to end and I have the worst book hangover! Gail Honeyman has created a character who grew so close to my heart, I miss her already.
Thursday Quotables is the place to highlight a great quote, line, or passage discovered during your reading each week. Whether it’s something funny, startling, gut-wrenching, or just really beautifully written. Thursday Quotables is where my favorite lines will be, and you’re invited to join in! Created by Lisa, over at Bookshelf Fantasies, and joined in by, well, me!

Eleanor is funny!
No, thank you,” I said. “I don’t want to accept a drink from you, because then I would be obliged to purchase one for you in return, and I’m afraid I’m simply not interested in spending two drinks’ worth of time with you.
GO. GIRL!
Of course the book wasn’t intended to be a full comedy show throughout.
These days, loneliness is the new cancer – a shameful, embarrassing thing, brought upon yourself in some obscure way. A fearful, incurable thing, so horrifying that you dare not mention it; other people don’t want to hear the word spoken aloud for dear that they might too be afflicted, or that it might tempt fate into visiting a similar horror upon them.
Absolutely loved this part, and it spoke to me in a deep level. Only thing feeling lonely alone is feeling lonely surrounded by people. Reach out to people- don’t treat loneliness as a contagious sickness, be there for each other.
So here are my quotes for this week. Book review will follow very very shortly (if it hasn’t already should you be reading it in the future – use the search bar to find it!). BLOODY LOVE THAT BOOK!
