Hello, friend! Welcome to my blog. It’s a pleasure to have you here!
My name is Katlin, but I prefer to be called Kat. I was born and raised in a little town called Haapsalu, Estonia. At a tender age of 19, and just two days after graduating high school, I joined 6 of my classmates and moved to the United Kingdom. (What were we thinking, right!?)
I have always admired books, because I grew up surrounded by them. As an adult I read occasionally, but my love for reading was truly re-ignited in 2018. I normally reach for thrillers, horror and crime novels. But I also love a good historical fiction and a tragically romantic war story. And if you give me a chilling ghost story – I’m all yours!
In the summer I prefer to sit outside in the garden with a good book, in the winter I’m spending the majority of my time reading in the bath or under a comforter on the sofa.
Besides hoarding books I like to go to the theatre, spend time with my friends, tend to the (vegetable) garden and during winter months I like to knit! Some say I’m 30 going on 90.
I post predominantly about the books I read and some additional bookish chit-chat. I am also documenting my journey to a preventative double mastectomy and the recovery after finding out I have the BRCA1 gene mutation.
Thank you for stopping by! Let me know what your favourite books are? I’m always on a lookout to expand my wishlist 🙂
