Well, hello there sweet cheeks! Today I bring you one of the most exciting blog tours that I have been involved with since the beginning of Bookskatlikes. It really should be no secret how much I love Steve Cavanagh, particularly the Eddie Flynn series. I was an instant fan as soon as I picked up Th1rt3en and have now worked my way through all the books in the series, except one.
As I’ve mentioned once or twice before, I absolutely love Cavanagh’s style. I tend to get through his books in record time and I’d like to think that I am familiar enough with his writing. It’s enjoyable and thrilling to say the least. His books keep my attention from the first to the last page and I am always left wanting more.
But before we talk about Fifty Fifty, lets catch up! How are you? What have you been up to recently? Are you still shielding, or have you been venturing out into the world despite Covid? What have you been reading? Let me know in the comments below!
I flew out to Estonia to see my family in early August. I’ve been spending some much needed quality time with them and my friends for about a month now and I still have about three weeks of actual holiday time left. It’s been so good!
I’m so grateful for all the memories and sunsets I’ve been able to share with them. Especially in the circumstances we have found ourselves living in, in the absolute abomination of what is 2020. Whilst the numbers of those confirmed ill are rising sharply around the world, Estonia seems to be holding a steady low number so far (touch wood!!). My thoughts are with everyone affected and I truly hope we find a way to get through this rough time together very soon!

My thoughts: Eddie Flynn is back in book #5 and as usual gets involved with a high profile case that is full of twists and turns. Poor Eddie gets caught up in an absolute mess again. At times I really just wanted to reach out to him and give him a massive hug..
In Fifty Fifty we get to meet other familiar individuals from the previous books. I would therefore suggest to read the books in order to have a better feel for the characters and their back stories. (Also because the books are great and beg to be read!)
I did feel like Eddie wasn’t on his top form in this book, but his story will give you a reason for why that is, too.
Nevertheless, my Eddie, come rain or shine, I will forever follow your journey. I hope Cavanagh never stops writing about you.

About Author
Steve Cavanagh was born and raised in Belfast before leaving for Dublin at the age of eighteen to study Law. He practiced civil rights law and was involved in several high-profile cases; in 2010 he represented a factory worker who suffered racial abuse in the workplace and won the largest award of damages for race discrimination in Northern Ireland legal history. He holds a certificate in Advanced Advocacy and lectures on various legal subjects (but really he just likes to tell jokes). His novel The Liar won the CWA Gold Dagger award while his follow-up novel Thirteen won the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award in 2019. Twisted was a Sunday Times Top 10 Bestseller. He is married with two young children.
