Happy Thursday everyone! Hope you’ve had a great week? Did you read a lot? I finished I Know Who You Are (review here) and really enjoyed it. The quote I chose for today’s post came from this exact book. There were many but I decided to go with only one.
Thursday Quotables is the place to highlight a great quote, line, or passage discovered during your reading each week. Whether it’s something funny, startling, gut-wrenching, or just really beautifully written. Thursday Quotables is where my favorite lines will be, and you’re invited to join in! Created by Lisa, over at Bookshelf Fantasies, and joined in by, well, me!

We all sometimes pretend to love something or someone we don’t: an unwanted gift, a friend’s new haircut, a husband. We’ve evolved to be so good at it, we can even fool ourselves.
I can’t actually tell you why I highlighted it. I think it made me chuckle a little, because I am totally guilty at pretending to love presents I’ve received in the past.
What was the last thing you pretended to love?

I started to do Thursday Quotables too! This is a lovely idea, I’m glad you did a few too! I’m falling in love with book quotes!
